Government officials ,Stakeholders and peace actors converged at modogashe for this years International day for peace.

Today, Garissa joined the world to mark the International Day of Peace.

Modogashe Municipality hosted this occasion for the first time with the aim of advocating for the precious gift of peace and coexistence among the various communities in our county. Its important to note that, my administration has specifically established peace and cohesion docket that will complement the exemplary work done by all peace actors and security agencies.

Through this office, my administration with the support of FCDC has developed peace building and management policy that has gone technical and cabinet sensitization process. The Bill is currently at the assembly for further legislation. Such policies will strengthen and enhance issues of peace mediation and conflict resolution in our county.

Peace gives us the strength to overcome challenges and the courage to create a future where everyone thrives. Together, we can create a world where peace reigns over conflict. On this #InternationalDayOfPeace, let’s commit to fostering harmony and understanding in our communities.
